Profender® and Drontal® — now brought to you by Vetoquinol Australia

Brisbane, January 2021 – Following the take-over of Bayer by Elanco, Vetoquinol has announced its acquisition of Profender® and Drontal®, the broad spectrum wormer for cats and dogs.

Profender® (emodepside + praziquantel) is a single-dose, spot-on solution against hookworm, lungworm, roundworm and tapeworm for cats. It can safely be used on cats and is safe for kittens 8 weeks of age, and weighing at least 0.5 kg. In 2006, it obtained the prestigious Easy-to-give award from the International Society of Feline Medicine.
 
Drontal® (praziquantel + pyrantel embonate for cats, with added febantel for dogs) covers a range of single-dose broad-spectrum scored tablets for cats and dogs. An oral suspension (pyrantel embonate and febantel) is also available for puppies. Drontal® can be safely used in puppies from 2 weeks of age and in kittens from 6 weeks of age. The Drontal® chewable range was launched in 2005 in the form of a highly palatable, tasty chew for dogs.
